Dean Anthony Niedwiecki
Professor Niedwiecki earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University, a JD from Tulane University Law School and an LLM from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Before teaching, he was a commercial litigation attorney at Mayer Brown’s Houston office and a labor and employment attorney with Gardere & Wynne in Dallas. Niedwiecki is a Past President of the Association of Legal Writing Directors and is a longtime member of the Society of American Law Teachers and the Legal Writing Institute. He is also Vice President of Fight OUT Loud, a national organization dedicated to providing immediate resources, support, education and assistance for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals facing discrimination.
This is Tara’s first year acting as a SALDF Chair. In her 1L year she served as a SALDF 1L representative. Tara is a Dean’s Scholar and Public Interest Scholar. She will serve as the Executive Articles Editor for the 2018-19 GGU Law Review Board. This year Tara assisted in organizing SALDF events on GGU’s campus during ALDF’s Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week and ALDF’s National Justice for Animals Week including a student trip to the Animal Place, a farm animal sanctuary in CA. Tara is known among GGU students for her homemade, vegan chocolate chip cookies.
