David Grimm is an award-winning journalist and deputy news editor at Science, the world’s leading journal of scientific research and science news. He is the author of the critically-acclaimed book, Citizen Canine: Our Evolving Relationship with Cats and Dogs, which traces the journey of pets from wild animals to family members. Grimm is the recipient of the 2010 Animal Reporting Award from the National Press Club and has been featured in The Best American Science and Nature Writing. In addition to his work forScience, Grimm’s writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Slate, Time, U.S. News and World Report, andThe Financial Times. He teaches journalism at Johns Hopkins University and has a PhD in genetics from Yale.
